RAW POWER

The Xiaomi® Mi3 uses one of the most powerful hardware today, which is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset.
The four KRAIT-400 cores, each one scaled to 2.3 GHz make the device blazingly fast.

The performance is boosted by the 2GB LPDDR3 memory and the Adreno 330 GPU.
The Android 4.4 based custom MIUI software is optimised for this device to provide a smooth user experience.

PREMIUM MATERIALS AND ASSEMBLY QUALITY

The aluminum-magnesium alloy frame of the Xiaomi® Mi3 provides exceptional rigidness to this device.
The frame is coated with 3 layers of thermal graphite and a microfiber lining, this finishing makes holding the phone really comfortable.
Mi3's complete body is 8.1 mm thin. The speaker grill on the bottom edge is precisely laser-cutted. The USB connector is strenghtened in order to have long-term durability.
 

BRILIANT DISPLAY

The 5" SHARP/LG display has FullHD resolution with a viewing angle of 178°. This ensures the excellent viewing experience from practically every direction.
The vivid colors are full of life thanks to the applied IPS technology. The touch panel is placed directly below the display panel, which makes the darker tones richer and more saturated. The screen is protected by the toughened and scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass.

MIUI – ANDROID, REDEFINED

The custom user interface named MIUI on this phone is developed by Xiaomi®.

Development of MIUI started years ago by the manufacturer, it is a stable and mature system today. Easy and comfortable usage, thoughtful structure characterises the system compared to the original Android solution.

The software is at it's 5th version and it is under active development.
New versions of the firmware are published every week, and the phones can be updated effortlessly over the air.


There is a particularly massive community support behind MIUI, which helps speeding up the development and integration of user requested features into the software. This is also indicated by that MIUI has been already ported to many devices (HTC, Samsung, Sony, etc.).

The software running in the background is of course Android, currently it's the 4.4 KitKat release, and every Google services are fully available on the phone (Google Play, GMail, Maps, Drive, Translate, YouTube, etc.).

Xiaomi stocks up the phone with a lot of extras, for example the pre-installed Voice recorder, Flashlight, Calculator, Compass, Office, MiCloud (Xiaomi cloud service), MiKey (for the Xiaomi MiKey device), Notes, Weather, File manager, MiVideo, Theme manager, and a dedicated security software, which monitors performance and data transfers, plus a memory clean-up and antivirus application.

CUT THE WIRES

Mi3 has four band GSM module and 3G/HSPA+ modem,  which makes it ready for use on virtually every network. The data transfer rate has a maximum of downloading at 42 Mbps**.  The phone's Wi-Fi module also supports the 5 GHz wireless networks. The Bluetooth stack supports the newest 4.0 standard.

The NFC technology provides fast and easy communication between nearby devices. 
It has a microUSB 2.0 connector that supports high-speed data transfer, and the USB OTG function is also available for connecting and using external devices (like USB flash drive, mouse, keyboard).

The phone has built-in GPS receiver, so using navigation applications cannot be a problem. 

You can use the free Google Maps navigation application on your device, but this requires continous data transfer and internet connection. However you can also use the offline Sygic GPS Navigation application, which provides maps for 45 countries of Europe. The Xiaomi® Mi3 has a Sony Exmor IMX214, 13 megapixel camera module, with an optics consisting of 5 lens elements in front of it. This system provides the background for your vivid and excellent quality photos, and the f2.2 aperture makes it possible to create stunning photos in low light conditions. The auto-focus, tracking focus and the double Philips LED flash is also available for you to record the moments of your life.

The video recording is available up to FullHD at 60 frames/second which enables the user to create stunning slow motion shots.
